This combo set makes up a (5) piece tool
After years of
frustration trying to remove damaged wheels and axles from the hi-rail
S. I.
trucks, (
without popping the sides off
). The mother of invention
generated
the development of this tool.
This tool nearly eliminates any chance of pushing the sides off the trucks as the spreading force is
not
applied to the
Sintered iron
portions of the trucks.
If the sides are tight before you start they will be tight when your are finished.  Once spread, a gentle squeeze will close the truck & reset the truck to the operating parameters.
The link tip makes it easy and applies uniform
pressure
to spread the trucks.
The (2) additional tips may come in handy for other
spreading
needs. E-unit, etc.
We also offer a set strictly for the
Sintered iron only
for those that have no need  or desire for the full set.
